MEET DR. DOM

My name is Dr Dominique Fray-Aitken (pronouns: she/her/hers).  I am a UK-based HCPC registered and BPS chartered counselling psychologist with over six years' experience of providing counselling and psychological therapy in the NHS, charity sector, and private sector/practice.  I also have four years' experience in providing emotional support when I volunteered at a Veterans' Affairs medical centre, a family abuse centre, and a youth psychiatric hospital in the USA. I've worked with children, young people, adults and older adults from all walks of life and all around the world who experienced a wide range of difficulties in life.

I am trained in person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural therapies.

A MESSAGE FROM DR. DOM

TESTIMONIALS

"I have been working with Dr Dominique Fray-Aitken for over 2 years and can honestly say it has completely changed my life for the better.

Dominique is kind, caring, reliable and has the ability to enable you to make changes in your life that you never thought possible.  If you are willing to be brave, open and commit to the journey of therapy, then I whole-heartedly recommend starting sessions with Dominique. The work you do together enables you to create safe coping strategies to support your recovery for whatever journey or path you may be on.

It was the best decision I have made in my recovery so far, and after two years of sessions, I'm finally at a place alongside my medication and regular sessions that I feel hopeful, excited and peaceful about each day and my life ahead. I have set backs, of course, and I struggle we all do, but I would say I'm 60% better than I was two years ago, and I am committed to continue my recovery journey."
